Online Drum Machine To Make Music Beats Use DUBturbo Beat Maker Software

,
BEAT MUSIC MAKER :

If your reading this then your most likely looking for an online drum machine or software you can download so you can make beats for your music. Lucky for you I have some great tips and advice on what drum machine software to use and how to use it.

Online Drum Machine To Make Music Beats Use DUBturbo Beat Maker Software

Everyone is different and will have their own preferences but when I want to make beats using my computer I like to use professional beat making software like the online drum machine and beat maker - DUBturbo. In the past I used a combination of programs like Sonic Producer and an MPC but now I have more fun and find it so much easier using DUBturbo to make beats because the program is very professional and has all the features I need to produce my music fast.

What is DUBturbo anyway?

Simply put DUBturbo is a beat sequencer program you can use to make beats on your computer that has hundreds of sounds, samples and instrumentals of just about any kind of musical instrument you can think of. I'm a really big fan of this software and here is why.

The interface is very cool and the panel layout makes it a breeze to work with. The drum machine panel has keyboard triggers that make it feel like you're using an MPC, I still use the MPC I bought but not as much because using DUBturbo you can tap in your beats on the fly using your keyboard.

Making a beat is as simple as creating some bars to work with, pressing record and then tap in your beat using the keyboard. Then loop that and repeat what you did but add a new layer over the top with a different beat. Of course you can get as technical as you want and create your beats by drawing them in but that is just a fast way to use the program.

The really good thing about this software is that it is so easy to use even the complete newbie can make pro beats. Now I'm not saying that DUBturbo is the be all and end all of beat makers but it has to be my personal favorite.

How To Make Rap Beats Online - Find Out What You Will Need First!

,
BEAT MUSIC MAKER :

In this article we are going to look at what you need to make classy sounding rap beats. Now of course there are different options and you can go as far as a recording studio if you really want to get a tune out there that sounds like one of the chart hits.

How To Make Rap Beats Online - Find Out What You Will Need First!

Although this for most people is a step to far so this article will focus more on the software packages that allow you to make rap beats. Now a lot of people make the mistake of finding some good rap beat maker software and then think it will be simple to just start churning out the beats. This is not normally the case.

To make a good rap beat you NEED to know a little about musical theory. This is basically the rules of music and any music whether you are looking at dance, rap or classical uses the same rules and once you grasp them such as quantizing, timing and rhythm you can start making some awesome sounding beats.

My advice to start you off is to focus on house music, get a good beat maker and look up how to make a simple house tune. This as you can imagine is fairly simple and there are normally just 4 beats to a bar, add a snare or hi-hat offsetting the beats and you will have a very basic but quite a funky house tune.

Then moving forward you can of course start messing around with the basic beats, start adding delays and pauses and you will have a more complex set up. The best thing to remember when you are getting started making rap beats is that you cannot make mistakes with music and as you learn and get more creative your tunes will sound better.

I hope this article has told you a few things that you can use to start making rap beats and good luck!

The Right Way to Sell Beats Online

,
BEAT MUSIC MAKER :

Are you looking for some extra income and like to make instrumentals as a hobby? Why not sell your beats online and make more money. Nowadays, new artists and record label holders usually go online in search for some new beats they can buy. You can tap into this market and sell beats to them. The reason a lot of people are drawn to this money-making venture is because it is enjoyable. You get to make money and enjoy what you are doing at the same time.

The Right Way to Sell Beats Online

1) You Need Good Beats

But before you can make it big in the beat industry, you need to be able to come up with good instrumentals. Good beats mean that they are perfect for your client and the current music trend. You may need to closely study the market or interview some artists to determine the style of music that you will need to create. When it comes to beat selling, it does not matter how many beats you create. The quality of the beat is more important than the quantity.

To create good instrumentals, you may need to get some inspiration. You can do this by listening to the music created by some popular producers like Dr. Dre and Timbaland. You can also look at the other instrumentals you have made in the past. This will inspire you to good music that will satisfy your clients. After all, your goal is to sell your beats. So getting the attention of your potential clients is the first step.

In order to create good music you may need to take your time. Simply rushing the creation process will not do you any good. You need to work closely with your clients and ask them on how they want their instrumentals to turn out. You also need to jump-start the creation process by having a concept of the beat in mind. Only people who are familiar with different beats have the ability to conceptualize new beats.

2) Promote

Once you have created your beats, it is time to gain exposure by uploading your beats online. Simply put, you need to show your beats to people if you like them to be bought. After all, no one likes to buy beats from someone who has just created their first beat. They want to give the beat making job to someone who knows what they are doing.

Creating your first beat may be your key to landing huge deals. Huge deals are usually beat making deals for commercials, TV shows or movies. If you have a rich portfolio, then clients will be seeking to work with you. You can also visit some beat opportunity sites. This is where artists flock to inform beat makers about what they need.

In the end, your sales will depend on the quality of your beats. It is better to perfect a few beats than create a hundred beats that do not meet the standards of your clients. Selling your beats the right way means creating quality beats because you care about what your clients want.

The creator of this software is from the music industry and he decided to give the same software which made him famous all around the world. It is like giving back to the industry which has made the person famous and rich.

Choose your genre

Before starting to create your own music with Dub Turbo, choose the genre that you are comfortable with. Of' course, there is the possibility of creating your own genre, but before jumping head long into the water it is better to test the water with your toe. Once you are more comfortable, you can move on to creating your own genres. So first decide on a genre that you love and are comfortable with. Remember, a work that is well begun in half complete. Then decide on what will make that genre special and alluring. Once this ground work is done, you are ready to roll.

Creating your beats:

There are three crucial steps that need to be followed for creating a beat in any genre. They include

· Creating a baseline · Creating the audio loops · Laying out the midi drum patterns.

Creating the baseline is the integral step in any beat creation process, because this lays the foundation. This is the skeleton upon which the other aspects of your music will revolve about. So make sure that the baseline is built to your satisfaction. Moreover this baseline is the sequence that will be played more often in a repeating loop and you will want to make sure that something that is played repeatedly is pleasing and alluring to the ears.

Audio loops form a primary component in genres like rap and hip hop. To create the audio loops, you can use whatever instrument your creativity demands. Besides you can also add a lot of special effects to transform the mood and the tone of the music. You can compress, stretch and create a plethora of other such effects with Dub Turbo and improve the nuances of your music composition. Once you have created your first audio loop, you can add many other audio loops as you wish. After the first audio loop is done, creating the other audio loops will not be as time-consuming as the first one.

Then we have the midi drum patterns. You can use as many and as varied midi drum patterns as you wish, but make sure that you don't make the final effect a discordant cacophony. They can be set in a pattern of a group of unique notes and can be made to play as a secondary baseline.

Once these three components are created to the best of your ability and creativity, your first beat is all ready to rock!

The History of Rap and Hip Hop Music

,
BEAT MUSIC MAKER :

The origin of hip-hop can be traced back as far as the ancient tribes in Africa. Rap has been compared with the chants, drumbeats and foot-stomping African tribes performed before wars, the births of babies, and the deaths of kings and elders. Historians have reached further back than the accepted origins of hip-hop. It was born as we know it today in the Bronx, cradled and nurtured by the youth in the low-income areas of New York City.

The History of Rap and Hip Hop Music

Fast-forward from the tribes of Africa to the ghettos of Kingston, Jamaica in the late sixties. The impoverished of Kingston gathered together in groups to form DJ conglomerates. They spun roots and culture records and communicated with the audience over the music. At the time, the DJ's comments weren't as important as the quality of the sound system and its ability to get the crowd moving. Kool Herc grew up in this community before he moved to the Bronx.

During the late sixties, reggae wasn't popular with New Yorkers. As a DJ, Kool Herc spun rhythm and blues records to please his party crowd. But, he had to add his personal touch. During the breaks, Herc began to speak to his audience as he had learned to do in Jamaica. He called out, the audience responded, and then he pumped the volume back up on the record. This call and response technique was nothing new to this community who'd been reared in Baptist and Methodist churches where call and response was a technique used by the speakers to get the congregation involved. Historians compare it to the call and response performed by Jazz musicians and was very much a part of the culture of Jazz music during the renaissance in Harlem.

Herc's DJ style caught on. His party's grew in popularity. He began to buy multiple copies of the same albums. When he performed his duties as a DJ, he extended the breaks by using multiple copies of the same records. He chatted, as it is called in dance hall, with his audience for longer and longer periods.

Others copied Herc's style. Soon a friendly battle ensued between New York DJs. They all learned the technique of using break beats. Herc stepped up the game by giving shout-outs to people who were in attendance at the parties and coming up with his signature call and response. Other DJs responded by rhyming with their words when they spoke to the audience. More and more DJs used two and four line rhymes and anecdotes to get their audiences involved and hyped at these parties.

One day, Herc passed the microphone over to two of his friends. He took care of the turn table and allowed his buddies to keep the crowd hyped with chants, rhymes and anecdotes while he extended the breaks of different songs indefinitely. This was the birth of rap as we know it.

Hip-hop has evolved from the days of the basement showdowns to big business in the music industry. In the seventies and eighties, the pioneers and innovators of the rap record was the DJ. He was the guy who used his turntable to create fresh sounds with old records. Then, he became the guy who mixed these familiar breaks with synthesizers to produce completely new beats. Not much has changed in that aspect of hip-hop. The guy who creates the beat is still the heart of the track. Now, we call him the producer. Even though some DJs work as producers as well as DJs (quite a few start out as DJs before they become producers), today's title "DJ" doesn't carry the same connotative meaning it did in the eighties. Today's hip-hop producer performs the same tasks as the eighty's DJ.

Beat Making Tips For Home Beginners

,
BEAT MUSIC MAKER :

If you have been in music production industry for a while, then I'm sure that you know it's quite difficult to get noticed in the community today. There are thousands of people, who are trying really hard to make rap beats or any other type of music to become famous and sell millions of records.

Beat Making Tips For Home Beginners

However, what you need to understand right now is that no one wants to listen to poorly created tunes. Quality is something that people demand nowadays. Therefore, if you want to play a serious part in beat making business, then you need to produce your music in a professional audio recording studio.

I know that running a studio is not exactly cheap, so if you are on a budget, then this is probably not the best option for you. Although, it doesn't that you can't make beats with quality. It is still possible, but you will have to take the advantage of today's technology.

What I'm trying to say is that a beat making software is your only choice. There are loads of different beat maker programs out there on the Internet, which provide pretty good tools for making basic beats. It's a good start for beginners to learn, and then you could progress to advanced software with more features and a bigger price tag.

The key to becoming a professional beat maker is creativity and determination. Don't expect miracles to happen in the first few months, when you begin. It takes hard work and a lot of effort to achieve something in this industry.

Sell Beats Online Secrets

,
BEAT MUSIC MAKER :

Beat makers all over the world are passing up some of the best money making opportunities available to them. If you're trying to become a music producer and you're not paying attention to the changing industry, then it's all too apparent that you're out of luck. Trying to use the same old methods over and over again (for instance, contacting several major labels who don't care about your beats) when beat selling can be made easier.

Sell Beats Online Secrets

Beat selling online is the new medium for all producers who are interested in making money without needing to deal with record labels and all their technicalities. Most labels don't have any time to hear what you have to say, and the ones that do are both rare and hard to come by. If you wanted to sell your beats online, however, you'd be selling directly to the artist. Most of the guys you sell to aren't even signed, so they're very approachable.

In today's industry there are more producers making beats than at any other point in history. With music programs such as Reason 4, Fruity Loops and Garage Band, beat making has become extremely low cost and easy. You don't need a huge studio worth almost as much as your whole house anymore. A simple program and some decent speakers are literally all that's necessary in today's production business.

If you've been thinking about learning how to become a music producer by selling beats on the internet, now is the time to start. The competition online is only getting way more intense, and it's becoming far too apparent that even some teenagers have been able to crack this medium... Perhaps its because kids are more into the digital age, but most of the top sellers on Soundclick are 17-23 years old.

It's easy to assume that all you have to do is post up some beats on Soundclick and you'll automatically start pulling in sales. This is untrue for many reasons. First of all, your page has to be right when it comes to content and how it's set up. If you don't have a Buy Now button set up on your page, then you've instantly lost 80% of all sales. If that Buy Now button doesn't have a clear call to action, you've lost another half.

Beat selling information can be hard to come by for many reasons (mostly because want to-be-producers are putting out courses acting like they actually know how to sell beats), but I recommend visiting the links in the resource box/paragraph below. Join the free mailing list and if you want to learn the advanced stuff, download the eBooks for .95 and you'll be given the step by step instruction manual for selling beats.

The Benefit of Using Soundfonts in Instrumental Music Production

,
BEAT MUSIC MAKER :

Are you a music producer or beat maker into making various hip hop instrumentals, rap beats, or other types of instrumentals?  Have you ever come across the term "soundfont" or the file ".sf2"?  Have you ever wondered what they were, or how they were used?  Or did you bypass them when making hip hop beats in hopes of finding WAV audio files for your production needs instead?  Ever wonder if those soundfonts you passed by would've been helpful in making beats or instrumentals?

The Benefit of Using Soundfonts in Instrumental Music Production

Exactly what is a Soundfont?  Well, while I won't go into the detailed programming logistics of it all, I will summarize to say that Soundfonts are files labeled as "SF2" files that are simply a combined number of WAV audio files put together into one file called a Soundfont.  Whether the audio files are hip hop samples, music instrument sounds, or even drum samples and sounds, any of these types of files can be combined into Soundfonts as long as the files are WAV files.  You can compare Soundfonts in similarity to Reason Refills which are also a various assortment of different WAV audio files combined into a Refill file and used with the Reason music production sequencing software.

So, now that you have a bit more information on what a Soundfont actually is, what makes soundfonts beneficial to use?  Some people shy away from them because they say that the quality is greatly reduced.  This is not actually the case however.  While WAV files will more than likely be the most clear audio files to use in making music, Soundfonts are also very close in quality (unless you've managed to get your hands on some low end soundfonts), and have benefits as well that WAV files do not.

One of the great benefits of soundfonts is that you can rely on one SF2 file format to create a completely rendered music instrument sound for use in your music instrumentals, rather than several WAV files.  Let me clarify.  Let's say for example, you want to use guitar samples in your next rap beats.  With WAV files, in order to best simulate the guitar you're aiming for, and to recreate the guitar instrument on your instrumental, you would have to load up several WAV files in your music production software, and then play your keys accordingly to simulate the guitar riff or guitar melody you want.  However, with a guitar soundfont, you would only need to load up the guitar soundfont you obtained, and you can play accordingly without having to load up many WAV files.  Also, some soundfonts have multiple hip hop samples and loops placed into one file, so that you are able to easily use the soundfont without having to load up several more samples.

Another benefit of Soundfonts is that they don't use as much RAM (memory) on your computer when you are creating beats or instrumentals in your music production software, whether it's FL Studio that you are using, Reason, Orion Pro, or any other program.  Using Virtual Instruments (VSTi's) can sometimes drain alot of PC memory, causing your computer to go slower the more programs are opened in your music production software.  But with Soundfonts, it would take opening up several before you start to feel your computer lag.

And, although WAV files are universal in most programs, Soundfonts are compatible with many different programs as well.  With FL Studio, soundfonts work using the FL Soundfont Player.  With Reason, you can load a soundfont up nicely into the Reason NN-XT plugin.  In Orion Pro, you can use their soundfont player.  With other programs like Cubase, Sonar, or similar music production software, you can load up a soundfont if you can find a soundfont plugin.  Most of these can be found for free on the internet doing a simple Google search.

Finally, soundfonts are easy to manage and to keep on your PC in a particular folder, and are easy to transport to other programs as well.  You can burn your soundfonts onto a CD or DVD and take them with you, whereas with VSTi music program synthesizers, that would be virtually impossible.  Soundfonts are easily used, and easily managed, and are of high quality.

So, the next time you are working on hip hop beats, rap instrumentals, r&b beats, movie scores, video game music, or any other types of beats or instrumentals, especially if you're working in FL Studio or Reason, and are in need of some sounds for beats or instrumentals, look for some soundfonts and try them out.  Whether you're in need of hip hop samples, piano samples, guitar samples, string sounds, bass samples, brass and horn sounds, world instrument sounds, or other types of music instrument sounds, you're sure to find soundfonts on the internet in a large variety of different sounds and samples.  Some of them are lower quailty, some of them are well created, where as some soundfonts are free and others have to be paid for, which is no different than going to a website and purchasing some hip hop samples in WAV format and only liking a couple of them, or liking most of them.  Some say soundfonts are dead, but on the contrary, they are very much alive and very useful if you know how to use them, and the right ones to use as well.  Don't overlook them, give them a chance.  You may be happy you did.

Choosing Unique Wedding Ceremony Music

,
BEAT MUSIC MAKER :

The Power Of Three

Choosing Unique Wedding Ceremony Music

Making your wedding ceremony a true original can be as easy as choosing just
three special songs. This music is a reflection of you, your hopes and your
dreams. Seize this opportunity to give your guests an unexpected surprise
while sharing an important part of yourself with them.

While tradition still has its place, most Brides and Grooms are now choosing to
use non-traditional wedding ceremony music. Many of the old standbys, such
as Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" (Here Comes The Bride), are being replaced with
other alternatives. Those about to wed have requested Slow Rock, Love Songs,
Latin Guitar, New Age, Classic 40's Vocals, Pop Songs, Oldies and just about
everything else.

Choosing Your Songs

The first step is just to think of songs you like. You can edit your ideas later.
Make a short list of songs that relate to how you feel about love, commitment
and a special shared relationship. Feel free to consider all options. Once you've
made your list you can then edit it for potential Processional Song candidates.
Remember that in general, a Processional Song should have a slow cadence for
those walking down the aisle.

Choices have included songs by Nat King Cole, Sting, Andrea Bocelli, Mark
Cohn, Peter Gabriel, Enya, The Beatles, Shania Twain, Vangelis, Aretha Franklin,
Van Morrison, Tony Bennett, Edwin McCain, Vangelis, Faith Hill, Etta James,
Sade and Soundtrack Songs. Your choices are virtually unlimited.

We custom edited Van Halen's "When It's Love" for one Bride who wanted the
instrumental part of the song for her Processional. Another Bride was a huge
Bruce Springsteen fan. She walked down the aisle to The Boss classic, "Thunder
Road".

If you want to stick to classical music, you may decide on something a little
more creative than the same old thing. Anyone who's been to a ceremony in
the last century has probably heard Pachelbel's "Canon In D".
Traditionally a string oriented song, there is an updated version that uses
flowing synthesizers and ethereal keyboards in place of strings. Its
progressive, modern sound sets it apart from other versions we've heard.
Search for different arrangements or unusual Classical songs to give your
ceremony a unique sound.

Here Comes The Bride

Should all the songs in your ceremony have a consistent sound or theme? Not
necessarily. A contrasting style between the Wedding Party Processional and
the Bride's song can emphasize this important change. An example of this was
when one couple chose an operatic, Andrea Bocelli piece for their Wedding
Party Processional. The song was full of drama and grand expression.

In stark contrast to this was their choice for the Bride's Processional. They
decided on the romantic and reflective acoustic guitar sound of "The Rain
Song" by Led Zeppelin. The pronounced difference in song styles increased the
poignancy of the Bride's appearance and the entire ceremony.

While these songs aren't for everyone, they reflected this couple's taste and
preferences. It also serves as a wonderful demonstration of the power of a
musical style change and original choices.

Classical instrumental still has its place. Recently a Bride chose a lesser known
classical piece for her walk down the aisle. "Variations on an Original Theme
(Enigma Variations) Op. 36" is a fantastic selection for this. It's a powerful song
that uses soaring strings and majestic horns to slowly build to its peak. We
edited it so that the crescendo of the song timed perfectly with the Bride's
appearance.

Another Bride-to-be chose "Once Upon a Time... Storybook Love" from the
movie The Princess Bride. The title track from Cirque du Soleil's "O" is another
captivating piece that many have fallen in love with. "Variations and Fugue On a
Theme by Mozart, Op. 132: Variation 7" is a traditional classical piece that is
rarely heard at ceremonies. The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra's version is
breathtakingly elegant.

If you're going Classical for the wedding ceremony music, remember that there
may be quite a few different versions of many songs. It may take a little
research to find the perfect one but it is well worth the effort.

Recessional

The end of the ceremony Recessional is a time for joy and celebration. You will
walk triumphantly, back up the aisle, for the first time as a married couple. As
you pass by smiling, applauding guests, let the music add an extra highlight to
this moment. Your Recessional music should be upbeat and energetic. Again,
choices are plentiful. Past requests include Classical, Rock, Swing and R & B.

Songs by Vivaldi, Harry Connick, James Brown, U2, Barry White, Frank Sinatra,
Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, Queen, Marvin Gaye and many others have
worked to great effect.

Where To Look For Music

If you have a favorite movie soundtrack or radio station, your perfect song may
be something you have already heard. Next time you hear a song that really
grabs you, make a note of it.

One of the best places to find unique musical ideas is right in your own CD
collection. Chances are there's a favorite song in there you may have forgotten
about that would be perfect. Browse through your music library and add to
your list of possibilities.

Do you have a favorite artist or concert performance? What was that old song
you loved when you were younger?

Is there a brand new song you really like? A newer song can be a refreshing
change from the status quo. And there is less chance anybody else has already
used it for their wedding.

Perhaps there is something in your family heritage you would like to
incorporate musically into the ceremony.

If you have a special moment in the ceremony for a candle lighting, rose
exchange, remembrance or other tradition, you may want to choose a song to
be played for this as well.

Samples of songs can be accessed via your computer on Apple's iTunes music
store website (The iTunes program is free and works with both Windows based
and Mac computers) and at Amazon.com. Barnes and Noble bookstores offer
live listening posts with thousands of artists from which to choose.

Putting It All Together

Write down all of your musical ideas and then gradually narrow it down to your
three favorites. The others can be played for the Prelude- prior to the
beginning of the ceremony, while guests are arriving or later at the
reception.

Contrasting music is good and emphasizes an important change in the
Processional. Be dynamic in your choices and create a new sound experience
for your guests.

Take the first step in making your wedding day truly YOURS by choosing songs
that express a bit of who you are. And don't be surprised if your guests
compliment you on how your ceremony was unlike any other they've been
to.

Sonic Producer - Program to Make Beats

But before you go on a download frenzy, there are some factors that you need to think about before you decide to download a software program to make beats. Having the right kind of software can go a long way and can help you a lot in sharing your music to the world.

You will need to look for a computer program that is easy to use. As a beginner, you do not need complex controls that will only add to your confusion. What you need are basic features plus some advanced options that are all properly laid out in the control area. You will not need something that has excessively complex tools that will only slow your efforts down.

It helps to have a program that has a good range of samples and sounds. It can be frustrating to develop some catchy beat in your head but you will not be able to share it because your program does not have the sound that best describes the one that has been playing in your head. A large selection of sounds and sample can help a lot in increasing your creativity and you might just end up with a beat that sounds better than what you have thought.

One of the most important things you will need to remember is not to fall for expensive or high-priced software. A computer program to make beats that is priced expensively might be an indicator that it is meant for use by professionals. As a beginner, you just need a simple program that has the sound quality of a professional artist.
